Social responsability
Waste sorting

Since January 2004, Constanta contributes to the environment and society through a Waste Recycling Program.

The cleaning staff of the factory does the separation of recyclable materials in proper containers, identified by colors. This material is collected three times a week by a partner company and transferred to recycling cooperatives to do the recycling.

In our production process we generate a new category of waste, which are the scrapped components. The separation of this material is made by our warehouse and quality control personnel. This residue is completely destroyed by scrap yards so that there is no possibility of further sale, since they are components that are not in perfect condition.

Besides organizing and cleaning in the workplace, waste recycling promotes environmental education by engaging the participation of employees, who are accustomed to separate recyclable materials from organic waste and multiply this knowledge in their community.

Reuse of rainwater

Aware of the value of potable water, especially in urban areas, and the need to reduce the waste of this precious asset, in October 2004 Constanta implemented the reuse of rainwater.

The water is diverted through the chutes and ducts passing through a filtering process and going to a specific reservoir and subsequently used in places that do not require treated water, as is the case of discharges of all bathrooms. This system has contributed to a significant 15% reduction in potable water use.
